Mom’s [garden inspired] herb dip

Can’t really call it chimichurri; can’t really call it pesto. It’s mom’s homemade herb dip with whatever we could pull from the garden (and a couple goodies from the fridge.)

I sneaked a quick photo before the mincing of the goods:

Thai basil
Olive oil
and Sea salt

Tasty with bread, crackers, cheese, and prosciutto… and it was gone before dinner.

Food improvisation is a bold art. Next time you find yourself with a fridge or garden full of variety, why not throw it together with a few staples and see if you come up with something daring and delicious?
